So I have decided on buying a new grill for Labor Day and wanted to stir the pot (so to speak).

What do you guys prefer and why? Either way it's time to play with fire!

CHARCOAL only!! Put some mesquite chips in a bucket of water, fire up the grill and once it's ready spread the wet mesquite on top of the charcoal and start cooking! You can't get that kind of flavor from a gas grill even if it is cleaner and more convenient!!! Damn... now I want a steak.

i personally have three grills because i'm a grill-a-holic and i'll explain my reasons.Gas Grill (Weber Summit S-670)- Chicken and fish is grilled on my gas grill that also has six burners that i use to heat stuff and have even used to make paella on a couple of times. I love the gas because the temp. is very easy to control and you can cook food much more evenly.Charcoal Grill (Webber) - Steak, Sausage, Ribs, vegetables, and Cedar Plank Salmon I cook with charcoal because for red meats the flavor isn't the same with gas and as guy above mentioned smoking wet mesquite chips adds an awesome flavor to the meat.Smoker - (Char Broil) - I slow cook/smoke briskets and baby-back ribs in the smoker and the shizzle is so good it'll make you wanna slap ya mamma.

grilling is right up there with driving my turbo a.c. in my book. luvs mah grillz!

I love my gas grille but I'll cook on charcoal anytime.

I prefer charcoal since it is just more fun grilling with the fire flame at you.
