gas odor when starting car

when i first start the car i notice a strong gas ododr that lingres for about 2 mins. no other time do i smell it i cant tell if its coming from the rear or the front. could it be the fuel pump gone bad or the o rings need to be replaced. also when it first runs it has a small tap to it . the lifters have been checked and ddont see any problem witth them i was wondering if in need to replace the knock sensor.

Mine did that and it was a few loose fuel lines at the front or the engine.Replaced them along with new clamps and problem solved.I was told when its cold they leak until they heat up and swell enough to seal.
