Not bad at all. I tested my MPG in the city for about 10-12 tanks and avg 18.3-18.5 mpg and this week it is all highway so far with an avg of 23.5. I notied drafting bumps to 25-30 range hehe.....but I dont like to tailgate. May try the carb cleaner though!

We should see if exhaust helps...KTW

Dont go too big on pipe sizing though, you dont want to lose too much back pressure or you could actually lose powerGood luck with the sound too, give us a sound clip when you get it done

same size as stock pipe, but when you loose power(tooque) at low end it is usualy gain of h.p. in top end.loose lb,s ,gain in h.p.that,s how it sould work usualy.will be whiping some 07m45 butt.

It might seem crazy, but I bumped the pressure in my tires from about 35 psi to 40 and I saw a HUGE gain in mileage. I'm getting between 24 and 26 on the highway now. At 80 MPH my RPM's are around 2500 instead of 3000. I suggest everyone run their tires a little higher... huge difference.

Does that make a big difference? I've been thinking about having it put in my tires.

Just got back from Indiana... I'm sitting at 430 miles on the trip... about a quarter left and the computer reading 25.7... I'm impressed.

Oh and supposedly Nitrogen is supposed to fluctuate less than a standard atmospheric mix of gas... thus meaning your PSI will not range as much as it does from summer to winter... I've also heard it doesn't leak as easily and is a slightly lighter gas, but it doesn't really mean your tires are lighter... I'd like to see some data on atmosphere vs. nitrogen... come on MythBusters!

Whoa. 50psi is way too high and probably causes way too harsh a ride (although, it probably improves gas mileage some).

I think you would be much better off with somewhere between 36psi to 38psi ... certainly no more than 40psi or so.

Completely cold tire measurement, of course.

Folks, air is 78 to 79% Nitrogen. For all intents and purposes, there is not going to be any ride difference using higher concentrations. Remember that the tire has a certain amount of plain air in it before you start pressurizing, so you are not going to get 100% Nitrogen inside the tire anyway.

The most logical reason I can think of, for using Nitrogen as a fill, is to prevent/minimize internal oxidation of the rubber (the outside of the tire is still in contact with plain air, of course!), but this is probably not going to affect the tire performance or life much. For passenger tires and normal driving. that is.

Save your efforts and money and time by getting better tires, changing them at 4/32" tread depth, regular rotations and balancing, etc.!

The more pressure you put in the tires, the botom will curve so the car will not sit on the entire width of the tire --> less traction. It will also consume the tire more on the centre then the sides.
