Alright I recently installed the LSD catback on my coupe and I have noticed a significant drop in my gas mileage. Is it the exhaust or my occasional foot to the floor. Once I noticed it a few days ago and I changed the way I drove to see if there is a difference but nothing. Is this normal even with the CVT.

masterbeatyy, i assume you've been driving the same since you've gotten the exhaust. whats your usual highway mph w this exhaust when you drove normally? mpg?

i just got it today, and will install prob next week.

now, w/o the exhuast, i usually do about 70-75mph which according to my dash is equivalent to 30-35mpg. hoping it wont go lower...

It's an estimate based on throttle position, engine load, etc. If you add even 1 mod like heavier wheels, exhaust, intake, etc. It throws it off slightly.

Lol, with my turbo setup it doesn't know what the hell is up, sometimes it reads 1100+kms when full, then five minutes later after i've been in boost and hard on it it reads something totally different. Injectors are different, etc. Hilarious.

I'm still getting about 700-800 to a tank if I drive it "quietly" haha.

I'm just glad I didn't buy the v6 and have mods on it. I would be spending more money a month. On gas than my car payment. And turbo, weeew, would be cool to have but impractical for me.

I have the 2010 3.5 with several "loud" mods (see my sig below). I do a combination of city, suburban and highway driving, and I usually get 21-22 MPG. On the highway, if I'm not driving like a nut case as I usually do, I get in the high 20's. If I'm really driving "for mileage" on the highway with a constant cruising speed around 55-60 I can get 29+. I did not notice a significant drop in gas mileage after my mods, but it may be that I am more conscious of driving more efficiently these days. I have a strong suspicion that the reduced mileage folks notice with mods like these is a function of the "VROOM VROOM" factor -- using the throttle more aggressively because of how cool it sounds -- and, as far as I'm concerned, it's worth it!
