Not too sure about total miles/Km for a whole tank because I full up before it's on empty but I averaged about 17-18 mpg city/partial hwy before the turbo. Post turbo I haven't had an entire tank that I didn't have a lead foot yet. Been getting about 14 mpg or so since turbo. Mileage is most likely the same as before for me assuming I can keep my foot off the gas or more specifically keep out of boost.

With my 95 Q45, I'm averaging 25 mpg on the highway at an average speed of 65 mph but that is with specialized grandma driving techniques.

My 94 Q45 Turbo averages 18 mpg on the highway but it has a 4.08 diff.

Wise owners never dirve below ¼ full tank.

We don't burn your fuel, drive in your environment, so comparisons are meaningless!

What is meaningful is the maintenance history of your car and its condition, in addittion to your daily drivng habits, environment and fuel.

20mpg if I drive the way I like...23mpg if I drive the way the state troopers like.

Different cars in different conditions on different roads and different fuel blends driven differently.......well......you get the idea.

Each owner can only try to maintain the car as new as possible, buy the best fuel available, and drive accordingly as real world variables demand.

US EPA has corrected the Q original 16/22 mpg as posted on the car brand new to 15/20 mpg to better reflect modern driving situations and speeds. Part of this reduction was to compensate for the reduced energy quality in current fuels..........however this number did not consider ethanolized gasoline [E10] which can reduce the 15/20 by another 0.6-1.0 mpgIf you study all the 4,000 pound V8 with 4.5 [4.2-4.7] liter engines you will see they all get roughly the same mileage give or take 1 mpg.

Fact of Physics and scientific efficiency of HP creation.

Important to realize that to create 300 HP requires 150 pounds [22 gallons]of gasoline per hour vs 15 pounds or [2.2 gallons] to cruise at 60 mph no ac on level road.

1993 q45I get about 310 miles per tank and around 16-18 mpg with a combo of city and highway.
