About how much MPG should I be getting with me KA24E? It seems like the gas goes pretty quick, or maybe it's just me.

well if you have not gone over the parts that make good gas mileage. I could list them but you probably know....

Get the 300zx one. It is less than the 240 one and it flows more. Still breaking in my newly rebuilt one but i get about 25mpg on the highway. With the old motor i got around 22mpg on the highway. A simple tune up and some sea foam will help the gas milage. Not to mention your right foot.

any particular year of 300zx that i should buy? NA or Turbo?

Also how does the seafoam work? I know the lucas oil stabiler stuff is supposed to cause foaming in the SR's.

I get about 19-23mpg overall, Ive replaced almost everything and this is still the best I can get, so I just stoped worrying about it.

as long as its a z32 filter. I should be getting better milage soon. I was having a hesitation issue. Turn out it was corrosion on the injector clips. Cleaned them off and it runs way better.

Sea foam is a product you but from autozone. You dont want your oil to foam up. It cleans out your injectors, piston tops, intake manifold and what not. I have not used it since the motor i just installed is new but i hear good things. Just seach sea foam.

After airing up tires to spec, I've gotten 27mpg, typical is probably 25.XXmpg. I love high mpg so my right foot is light and Im not in a hurry to get anywhere (which is funny because the only reason I found this sight is that I was searching for all the ways to get more power).

I am getting 21mpg with my heavy right foot(on my ka24de though, you should be pretty close to that if you drive like me)

I was getting 10.5mpg on the jeep I replaced with my 240 so I am still not over the "is the fuel gauge broken, it's hardly moved" feeling.

I've kept a mileage record since I purchased my '90 240SX in 1995 (yeah, 12 yrs):

Best MPG: 32Worst MPG: 19Average MPG (about 100k miles): 24

Of course, it depends on your driving style...lead foot or put-put?

Well you guys I think I am about to get this Soch S13...I talked to the owner a few times and he said the car was good to go, its just that it uses alot of gas...He asked a mechanic what was wrong with it, and he or she said it might be an intake problem..But I concluded that it could be out of the following: fuel filter, spark plugs/wires, intake, or it could be some clogged lines or something..He told me that the car doesnt LEAK gas, it just uses alot (it runs good but sometimes it smokes when sitting for a while)..So thats the reason why I bumped this thread...If anyone has something to add/take away please let me know.I didnt wanna go out and make a new thread when there's a post already about it on the 2nd page...

I bought my 89 auto 250sx 11/06. Paid $900. Replaced distributor, wires, plugs, 02 sensor, hose's, fix loose/broken bolts exhaust manifold, gasket on valve cover, thermostat & sensor, fuel filter, air filter, tighten exhaust system, used a fuel cleaner(did not know how long it had been sitting), ran carbon cleaning stuff at redo of above parts, then again at 3k more at oil/filter change. Car runs great, i get 27 hwy and 24 city. Still have egr to replace and egr pipe leaks a little. car has 174k on it know and running strong, no smoke. This is my beater car, when i went to pep boys to buy stuff one of the clerks saw my car and wanted to buy it!

you are stating mpg, but what are you getting in mileage per tank, when the yellow light comes on?? I'm trying to get a bearing because I feel my car is running rich. I had a '92 dohc that would get me like to 320-350miles a tank. now with this sohc i'm like at 300-315. I already changed cap/rotor,wires air filter. gotta change the fuel filter and spark plugs, but yah I want to compare this just in case I might change the o2 sensor as well.

I have new Fuel Filter, Air Filter, Spark plugs, O2 Sensor, ERG removed.

I measured 30-33mpg on 90 miles (mostly Highway) trip while driving 65-75mph average on the 5th @ 2900-3200 rpm using 93 grade gas.

I might be wrong here. I don't know the exact capacity of S-13 fuel tank but I lost a quarter tank for the trip.Oh and mine is a KA24DE, sorry not SOHC.
