So here is the deal. Im getting a new header to get rid of that POS that will eventually destroy my 2006 spec v. I am leaning towards nismo, but my question is not which header to buy, but by how much does a header hurt your mpg? In other words, what is the change in gas mileage experienced after a header install?

If your driving patterns remain the same, you should actually see a slight increase in MPG from a header because of the increased exhaust efficiency.

Of course, the added power and noise typically causes most people to drive harder, so a reduction in MPG is common.

Thank you soo much. I drive conservatively with the occasional stomping and i get 29-30 driving everyday into Boston traffic, so I think thats pretty good. I just didnt want that mpg going downhill after I replace it. Thank you.

Couldnt have said it better. Who doesnt want to feel and hear the new found power? Just control yourself.
