Is the CEL on right now. O2 sensors could make the gas mileage go down and a bad cat could do it to. Get that tune up done thought if you think it needs it because that could make a little diffidence.

Thanks for the advice Presscott. No the CEL isn't on, I'll get back to you after the tune up. How many miles should I expect in your estimation?

I drive somewhat aggressively mixed 80 highway/20 city and am getting about 21 MPG - however, I drive about 67 miles a day, and only put in $20 per 'fill up' when I get to 1/4 tank (which brings me to just under 3/4 tank) - so I'm never running with a full load of fuel, have nothing 'extra' in the car (very small tool box in trunk, no amps, sub woofer boxes, and not carrying around a bunch of extra crap inside my car either) - AND I know I need a tune up, and need one of my O2 sensors cleaned/replaced...

Edit - forgot to say - I'm in a 99 Nissan Maxima VQ30DE/5MT

DADRIV - You should be getting @ 24 MPG on your I35 at highway speed.

Siath - do not delay replacement of the O2 sensor. The ECM programs the engine to run rich whenever there is a defective O2 sensor. This may cause the other O2 sensors and catalytic converters (very expensive) to fail prematurely.

I can easily get 23-24 mph in the city and 27-29 on the highway in my I30. I'm running 18x8 with 235/45 tires. Got one bad O2 sensor as well. I can fill my car up full and get a good 400 mi before the gas light turns on right at 15.5 gal used.
