Gas meter fluctuates?

So im experiencing some fluctuating in gas reading on my dash. So ill fill up my tank and within two days it will go below the half full mark. The next morning ill turn on the car and it will be at the empty mark and few minutes light will turn on I drive three miles from my house to get to work when I leave work few hours later it goes back up to half full. Any idea of what could be causing this?

It's probably a bad fuel sending unit...check out the FSM for help diagnosing the problem (link in my sig)
