Ok I searched..what I found just had to do with Gas tanks - which isn't my problem.

Well...it's been -20 degrees here for 2 days now (tomorrow it will be in the upper 20's low 30's so hopefully this cold snap is gone) and my car sat outside. The battery froze solid (my friend tipped it over while driving it one day (it wasn't secured down unbeknownst to me before that incident) and spilled all the acid so i filled it up with water - which would make sense why it just froze) so I just got another one. I started it up today and it died...started it up again and just gave it a quick rev and it stayed running perfect all the way up to normal temps..so yay that problem was fixed.

When I started it there was this LOUD buzzing noise from the front end of the car, but it went away after it warmed up (any idea what that could of been?)

and I couldn't help but notice the thing REEKED of gasoline. I moved the car backwards a little bit and there was some yellow stained snow under where the passenger side wheel well would of been about - and yup - it smells like gasoline terribly.

Any idea wtf is leaking here and if it's an easy DIY job or something that would take draining the tank and going to a mechanic??

Thanks in advance.

Passenger side front wheel well could be rubber lines going to fuel filter fuel rail or fuel return line

P side Rear wheel well could be rubber lines connecting tank to hard lines.

When it gets real cold like that rubber becomes very brittle and those lines are probably 10 plus years old as it is. They are all pretty easy to replace, the hardest one is the rubber lines at the fuel tank.

I had problems with fuel leaks at all three of these locations so that woudl be my guess. Good luck working in the cold.

thanks for the response, when i saw it leaking from that area i went "wtf" as i didn't know there were lines there. Luckily there's no leakage in the rear, so it seems I have only the easy ones to replace.

upon searching around - I have another question.

Where would I get these parts? (anyone have a part number?)

and since I'm turbocharged do I need to get any certain type of hose, or do the stock ones suffice?

Find your fuel rail and fuel filter and replace any lines that look like the could be leaking. You can us standard rubber fuel line. Take a piece of it off first and then go to local parts shop and buy a couple feet of it. Make sure they give you fuel line not vacuum hose

Yes the come off of the fuel pump and connect to hard lines abut two feet forward of the gas tank. Mine leaked when I bought my car

Well..idk wtf happened. It leaked gas the one day after sitting in that harsh *** weather. I started it up the next day in 30 degree weather and no leaks..no nothing. I started it up and drove a few miles yesterday, nothing at all leaking. so it seems like maybe something was frozen and caused leakage, but after thawing out it's fixed??!!!?

silly cars.

I'm still gonna have it inspected I think..rather be safe than sorry. I can't find anything, but maybe a good look over by the mechanic down the street will, and yes - inspections are free

I would just replace the lines in the engine bay. IT won't cost more than 15 bucks for fuel line and you can do it your self.

I discovered an air leak in my tire and oil leak from what looks to be my oil pan gasket (maybe my front main seal too..can't tell) so oil/air/gas leaks are all being inspected monday - hopefully they don't find a laundry list of **** like usual *sigh*.
