If it's inside your car, have you tried checking the fuel tank lid (not the gas filler area, but the one beneath the trunk carpet) area in the trunk?

pop the hood & see if the smell is coming from your engine bay and seeping thru your car from holes/crevices?

I had this problem when I bought my car and couldn't figure out what was wrong. When I put a Z32 filter on I found the issue. The previous owner had used an aftermarket(cheapo) filter, and it required larger diameter fuel lines than the stock hard fuel lines!! I was letting gas seep out around the hard lines. I changed the lines to the correct size when I put the new filter on. I'm glad my motor never caught fire. Might not be it but is worth checking your lines to see.

Ok I found a cracked fuel line near the main fuel pipe were you put gas. I should get that replaced tommarrow. And it seems that the smell is coming from the Fuel lid under the trunk carpet, what do i need to do about the Fuel lid part?

Time to get dirty and remove the fuel pump access panel and check for leaks at the seal that goes around the fuel pump housing and check the fuel lines that you can see there good luck
