Hi i just got my Sr running, and everything seemed fine.. well at least i thougt it did. I took it for a couple runs and after i popped the hood and checked the oil and i could smell gas, bigtime. also there seems to be a lot of oil in my intercooler piping, and my girlfriend was following me onetime and she said that she seen a bit of white smoke, not alot though. does anyone know what this could be?Thanks

Does your car seem to be running really rich? That can definitely cause gas to get in the oil. Be careful. If you think there may definitely be fuel in the oil then change your oil and check it again. Gas in the oil can lead to the properties of the oil breaking down and spin a rod bearing. Be careful.

im not sure if i am running rich or not.. i dont have a air/fuel gauge. what are the ways that fuel can get into the oil? cracked head? or head gasket?

fuel in the oil may be from trying to start your car and flooding it. white smoke and oil IC piping may be a blown turbo.

If you can really smell gas, I'd look into a possibly small fuel leak. It doesn't take much of a leak to have it really getting all over the place.

If you really have that much gas in your oil, I'd say you've got REALLY toasted rings - to the point of it almost being undriveable.

i was thinking something like that, blown rings, but the car runs beautiful, drives strong and everything.

ooo.. i just thought of somehting, when i took it for a drive the last time, one of my intercooler pipes blew off (clamp wasn't tight) anyways, i drove it home like that, for maybe 2 or 3 minutes. could this have flooded it? or some how caused gas to get in the oil, because the car would barely run.

Yep, that would wash the bores with fuel really quick. Your car was metering a ton of air, but none of this pressurized air was reaching the engine. The injectors were pushing enough fuel for all that metered air, so you ran WAY rich.

Change the oil ASAP since it is ruined from all that gas then you should be good to go if that's what caused it(sounds like it did).
