Em.. 1996 240sx ka24det brian crower/cp pistons/cometic full build. When i first got the car it had cracked head and warped block from extreme overheat. It had oil gas and water mixed in the oil pan. I got a different engine, put a lot of money in it and came up with oil+gas only. The thing is - my air/fuel gauge is gone and the a-fpr was reading 55psi the first couple weeks i was driving it from the backyard of the shop i work in to the outside of the shop i work in. After the engine stopped starting due to too much fuel in the cylinders, i dropped the pressure to 30 psi and changed the oil (that's when i noticed gas). I still need to invest 1k or a bit more to already invested 5k since the start of this year but i'm desperate - what if machine shop did the bad work and installed valve seats or valve seals wrong? What if the new engine was bad at a first place and machine shop didn't notice a crack in the head like it was the first time (i tried to rebuild the first engine but no luck, then started checking - was too excited about this car)? Should i continue wasting my youth staying those 14-17h at work once in a while (mechanic, work 11-12h a day) or just pass it on through craigslist to someone who has more knowledge than me? Or could be this just as simple as injector o rings that drives me desperately crazy?

Does it work properly at 30 psi and fresh oil? If so, keep on keeping on. If not, check the O-rings and injectors for leaky operation. Pull you r plugs to see if one cylinder is rich, or if they are all rich.

After that i changed rotor and cap from distributor and the aftermarket pos wire died (battery in trunk to underhood positive) and obviously it stopped starting. Before that it was running good on 30 psi and mixed oil (didn't noticed that time yet). I'll get the wire today from home depot and test it tomorrow
