I've searched, and found only topics describing the needle being stuck at the top of the gauge.

I was driving to work this morning and when I took a left hand turn into my parking space, the needle on my gas gauge dropped below E and stayed an 1/8 below E. Even when the car is idling the needle just sits there. I have a FULL tank. I have no idea what this could be. Hopefully it's just a fuse that I could replace without diving into the inner workings of the gas tank...

1995 240sx 5 speed, 129,800 miles.

Thanks a lot for any help guys.

mine was wierd when i first got it working . . . it would be near empty when i filled it up and it seemed that as i used more gas it would come up slightly. in any case, i took the fuel pump/fuel level float assembly out and moved the arm around. it didn't want to move at first but then it seemed to become freed of some block, so i put it back in, bolted it all back down and it has worked just fine ever since.
