just to mention first, i did use the search button but i couldn't find any write up on this....

I just fill up my tank to day...full and drove around a bit then park my car. About an hour ago, i got bored so i decided to go for a drive around town. Then half and hour later i noticed my gas gauge dropped to E....on its own.. I parked my car immediately and check for leaks..nothing. I decided to take it easy and drove it home slowly and check for leaks again...nothing. here whats the car does- when i accelerate the needle slowly moved back up- when i come to t a complete stop..the gauge dropped back down to E.

Sound like an electrical issue right? at least i hope it is. Tommorrow i'm gonna pull the fuel pump and check the sender unit, hopefully it's not mess up. If you guys have any input on this please let me know...

Thanks

Tao

It is your fuel level sending unit located inside the fuel tank.

Usually runs about $20 to $60 depending on the junkyard. Not too hard to replace, take a look at the FSM for details....

Probably my crappy wiring at the ECU/dash harness, check that.
