hey everyone. For as long as i have owned my 92 two forty, the gas gauge has never worked. I did a bit of research and there are two parts, sending and receiving ends, i figured it would be the gauge itself(receiving end) so i ordered some tyte JDM ****, still no dice. But the new pod looks dope. So i was wondering if anyone knows where the sensor is and if it requires the tank to be dropped to get at? How complicated is it? any advice would be awesome before i rip out my tank.

Fuel level sending unit, located in the tank with the fuel pump. Accessible through the hole in the trunk.

alright, plain and simple, your talking to a noob. No idea what or where to find an FSM on this site. Its probably the manual my car never did come with.

Under the carpet in the trunk there is a hatch with wires and fuel lines going into it. Loosen everything up, take off the hoses and lift out the fuel pump/gas level sender. It will smell like gas and will probably get gas on you. Just dont make any sparks that can lead to problems. The sensor has a white-ish piece of plastic that is the floater. It is attached to the sensor itself. Replace it if you think it needs it.
