I tried searching but it seems as if the search isnt working proper?

My gas gauge is stuck/isnt accurate. Anyone know of the first things I should check?

Also, are there any stickies/FAQs for the most common of problems for our truck?

Hope this will help. Incorrect reading - check the tank to see if the bottom is dented. This prevents the float from showing below 1/4 tank, or check the float to see if there is a bridge in the winding. Not reading - clean where the tank is mounted to the truck, this ensures the grounding for the float. Or check the wiring between the float and fuse box by using a multimeter, setting the meter on ohms. Any reading above 0.0 indicates a cut or disconnected wire. If it is sticking well change the instrument panel.
