i don't believe there is one specifically for the fuel gauge... i think its one fuse for all dash gauges

i'll double check my manual later if no one else figures it out for sure before then... my guess is there's something else besides a fuse bad however

I think you be right! I just got back in from testing all the fuses (Rain let up) and all are good. Looks like the wires are connected on top of the tank as well. Guess the sender is shot!!

Alientravler, were you able to check the ground connection? That's on the list of things that need to be dealt with on mine as well. I've been reading everything I can find on it and the ground seems to be a very common cause. I'm hoping its the ground on mine because I really don't want to drop the tank. If it comes to it I'll probably take the bed off instead.

The tank is a real pain in the a** to reinstall. A lot of issues are corrected just by ensuring the ground system is good on these trucks as so many systems are tied into each other.

Thanks Guys!! I'll re-check the grounding again. Maybe try a add-on ground wire to the tank??

Grounding the tank might help, but you should check the grounds along the harness as the gauge's ground is through the harness. Whats the actual problem with the gauge. When I bought mine the wire to the tank was severed at the entry point to the tank. Not an easy repair as insulation is necessary.

Should have replied earlier. There are two wires on the float, the sending wire and the ground. Try grounding the sending wire with the ignition switch on. If the gauge reads then its the entry to the tank where the problem is. I used a screw and nut + a plastic wall plug to secure the wire for the sending unit, once thats secured, cover the screw with epoxy steel to seal the tank. Remember its not as easy as it sounds. Good luck.

PS you will have to remove the tank or tray for this fix.

I'm lost. Did the gauge read when you grounded the sending wire?
