gas gauge on cluster

is the gas gauge suppose to be still reading without the key even in the car?? idk if its a special feature in the 240sx.

but yes it will stay in that position untill you start your car and they gauge gets a new signal

no you have to turn the key on for it to read. Have you ever filled up your car then see the gas needle move up when you turn your key on ?

no i havent taken it on the road yet since its not registered ive been waiting 3 weeks now for the title to come in that has my name on its i can sign it over to my mom for insurance reasons so i havent made it to the gas station, it doesnt bother me that it is always reading i just hope its fully functional after i fill up!

just get a gas can fill it up at the station and fill up your car and see if the needle moves

i know it movies down becuase i drive it from my house to my shop which is about an 1/8 of a mile behind my house just so its not sitting around but mainly because im so anxious to drive it

My petrol gauge needle stays up 24/7 unless its ran low on juice...Was thinkin on doing some gauge work like broadfield eventually anyway so i could use this thread! hope it turns out for you mate!

it stays put with the ignition off in s13's, and reason that the needle moves when you fill up is because the level sender is reading a new resistance, and higher level
