Gas Door will not open

I have a 2008 Altima Coupe. The gas door will not open when you pull the lever in the car. I have found the cable in the trunk and it moves but I cannot get it to move enough to release door latch. Any suggestions?

Frozen? If you have enough gas, I say drive to the dealer tomorrow morning. Warranty.

I don't have any ideas. I would suggest not prying at it to not make it worse.

I thought there was an emergency release in the trunk behind the carpet for it. Maybe I'm thinking of my old Audi though...

Made it to the dealer without running out of gas. There is no remote opener in trunk. But they did get it open. Pried harder than I was willing to try. Turns out the clip that holds the cable to the gas cap (so you don't leave it at the gas station) had moved just enough to keep the gas door from opening.
