I got a 2008 sentra S and I forgot to tighten the gas cap again so the service engine soon light come on and the only way to turn it off is leaving my car on the dealer or in a repair shop just to reset that code and that is $10. I don't want to pay $10 each time o forgot to tight the gas cap.

Anyone know any other way to turn that service engine light off?

You can drive it off. Drive 50 miles with the problem corrected and it will turn off itself, or leave the ground wire to the battery unplugged over night.

you could just tighten the gas cap when you put it on, all you have to do it turn it a little bit more

If the light pops on, tighten the cap and forget it. As was stated, it'll go away with a little driving (approx 50 miles or a certain number of key cycles). An SES light is generally nothing to worry about immediately unless its flashing.
