Garrett vs. HKS

What are the differences between the HKS and Garrett GT series turbochargers (ie gt3037 vs. gt30R)? There must be something to justify the difference in price other than the fact that HKS is japanese?

They have differences in trims, a/rs, etc.

Maybe i should have worded my question better. I noticed the different trims etc. but i was wondering what makes the HKS turbo's so much more expensive. Are their proprietary housings that much better than garretts?

garrett is also the manufacturer, not an aftermarket brand name, so you dont have to pay for the name. dont know too much about their actual mechanical differences though.

on a side note, w00t! 250th post! im such a whore to rack up this many.
