I am almost certain i'm going to buy a Garrett GT2540 to replace my HKS GT2510 any thoughs on this turbo? anyone else using it?

get a gt2871R. I bet youve never heard of that turbo.....j/k:biggrin:

i was debating between the 2 and so far the 2540 looks like the better buy

it may cost a little more but you will be happier with the 2871. it spools better and does not require you to machine your motor mount to get it to fit. Plus it is just as capable on the top end as the 2540.

and u will make more power out of it in the end cant wait till i get my injectors and ecu tuned so i can install mine finally that has been sitting in my room for a week now

the gt25 is a great turbo dont get me wrong but i would suggest u go for the 2871r

what size injectors you using? i have 550cc now and really dont wanna go bigger unless i ablsolutely have to with my new turbo

think about it this way u want ur injectors to be working at the least amouth possible so lets say u have 550's and ur making 360 to the wheels or so they will be working at almost 100% working overtime now with something like 740's with 360hp they barley working hard

Yeah I certainly wouldn't run a 2540r or 2871r in the .86a/r with 550s if you are going to turn up the boost.

its worth being pactient and save up some more money and do it right then one day u might want to upgrade turbo's again and u really dont have to worry about the injectors unless if ur gonna make some cray *** power but u will already have ur ecu and injectors
