Thought you might want to look at how my Garmin Nuvi 750 was installed on my new Murano. I searched for pictures all over the web and couldn't find any, so, I hope this helps others. Even though this was designed for the rogue, etc. I really like how it turned out on the Murano. Totally worth it! I love how I don't have to take my eyes off the road.

Leased a new Murano 09 SL 360 / Premium last week !

I velcro my tomtom GPS to one of those bean bag type dash mounts and place it in the same exact spot on my Mo. It works like a charm.

I then move the same set up to my Maxima where it also works well, in spite of the smaller dash top area.

I see no reason at all to get the built in navigation system. I remember the Nissan salesman telling me 5 years ago when we bought our 04 SE - '$2,000 buys a lot of maps.' It also buys a bunch of GPS's.

its a kit you can buy from any Nissan Parts dealer - I bought mine off of Ebay and had the my Dealer's service department install it. So, it is hard wired and permanently in there. This product was specifically made for Nissan. You can remove it and then there is a cap plug or you can just take of the Garmin. Since I live in the City I remove it every night - not a big deal.

I think if you buy it straight from the dealer and have it installed its like $599 I bought mine off of Ebay for $285 and install was like $130 - so I saved a few bucks by buying it myself, but I would recommend you have a Nissan shop install it - That is just me though
