Hey guys, it's been a long time for me. Haven't really been posting too much. But just wanted to say hi and say I am back into modding. Recently purchased a 2009 Suzuki GSXR600 and I am loving it. Although not loving the snow on the ground and the cold weather at the moment. But back to the topic of this post.

I purchased a Garmin 785T Navigation unit for my car. I was looking for more of a permanent place to put it than on the windshield. My first place was the small compartment that we have underneath our stereo. That way it can be closed so it's not visible. Was wondering if anyone has done anything to hook up a navigation system in their cars and were the put it? I think the compartment at the bottom would look cool and it's then able to hide without having to take it out of the car or unplug it.

I welcome any suggestions that you guys may have!

Merry Christmas

That would be a cool place for it to get it out of the way but you have to be careful not to put it somewhere that it can't receive signal. I've forgotten my bracket a time or two and tried to lay mine in the center console of the Frontier. It loses the satellite every time. Just my . I'd hate to see you tear apart your dash and mount it somewhere it wouldn't work. Good luck!

I have put a navigation system there and it doesn't lose it's signal. It still keeps it signal, this one that I have also tells me what kind of signal it gets just like a cell phone. It gives me almost full bars even when it's down there just driving around the city. However when you take a corner fast or hit any kind of bump it will move out of place. So I am trying to figure out the best way to build a stand or something like that.
