Anyone else see this movie? I just got back from watching it and it was pretty darn good. I might have to go later this week so my roomates can see it. It reminds me a lot of the depressing/what does it all mean Cusack movies like High Fidelity, but a little darker. I'm also a big fan of Scrubs and I couls see some definate similarities (and one of the songs was used in the first season of Scrubs, "New Slang" by The Shins).

Anyway, if you were thinking about seeing it or like Scrubs, Zach Braff, John Cusack, or a good, sort of depressing movie that explores a bit of life I recommend you see it. It is by no means perfect, but I don't feel raped for my $9, and I might be willing to pay another $9 to see it again so it must be ok!

I've seen plenty of "pre-release" stories about Garden State and they all made the movie seem like a must see. The guy from scrubs, IIRC, wrote the movie and sold the script by sending a "mix tape" with it of his favorite music that helped set the theme. Obviously, that worked well. I planned on seeing it from all the good things I heard, not to mention Natalie Portman is the female lead.
