Ok so I've been meaning to pick up NFS:MW forever now, I have it for the original Xbox but want to pick it up for the 360 for super easy achievements. But here's my issue, I don't want to pay $30 for a used copy. I'd get it through the Xbox marketplace for $20 but I'm old school and like to have a physical copy of it on hand. The sad thing is you can pick up a used copy of GTA IV for $13.00 but NFS:MW you can't get for less than $25.00. Somebody want to sell me their copy for $10?

LOL...NFS: Most Wanted will never go down in price. It's one of the better NFS games, so the price will pretty much stay up there. It's even more expensive than the newer NFS games. Your best bet is waiting for GS to have their buy 2 games get 1 game for free sale. It happens two or three times a year.

In that case I'll need to pick up Assassins Creed at the same time.

With AC, just skip the first one and get the 2nd one. Much better missions and improved combat system. The story of the first one isn't really that important...the 2nd game will give you a refresher anyway.

I definitely want to get the first AC, just because I've heard nothing but good stuff about it.

The first AC isn't too bad, but it's not amazing either. The visuals are very nice, especially when you're on top of some tall a** building. It's just an amazing view. However, the gameplay and missions get very repetitive. Story's not bad, but my biggest problem with AC was the fact that there wasn't much mission variety. Pretty much run away from guards, talk to certain people, and kill certain people.

I liked the first AC for its more open environment. Particularly in the travels between cities. It did get pretty repetetive with all the submissions though.

The second was a bit more streamlined but plenty of room to look around and stuff. The diversity of foes was a nice touch with some of the bigger guys being harder to take down. The achievements were more reasonable as well. I actually got them all. I'm still looking for flags on the first one.

I actually found the travelling between the cities in the first AC tedious and don't miss it at all.

Besides a lucky find at Gamestop you could also check Blockbuster pre-played (though NFS: MW is a little old to be there) and check the pre-played at GameFly too.

I'd say it's number two in the franchise right under NFS: Porsche Unleashed (which is long overdue for a reboot, as long as EA doesn't make some half-hearted attempt at a game).

Am I the only one who keeps reading NFS:MW as "Need for Speed: Modern Warfare"?

The best NFS is still High Stakes in my book. Porsche Unleashed was the last legit NFS, though. Every NFS since then has been rice-a-rama. The whole point of NFS used to be driving cars you can't afford on beatiful scenic roads. Then after PU it turned into driving 4-banger econocars with wings on california freeways.

EDIT:Nevermind, the NFS:MW I was seeing on the Gamestop website for $10 was for the original Xbox.

Am I the only one who would like to see Underground 3 be made? Look I'm all for driving sims, but I would rather play a game like the NFS : Undergrounds. I don't care about driving exotics around a track or racing them against other exotics on city streets. I would much rather play a game that puts me behind the wheel of a fully customizable tuner or muscle car that I can afford or would be able to afford and buzz around a city causing chaos and running from the cops.

I don't want to be stuck on a track, I want to deal with traffic, people, cops and real damage. I want to buy an S13 or a AE86 or an old Camaro or Mustang, put real life parts on it, tune it for whatever type of racing I intend to participate in and go cruise around the city, and if the cops want to chase me I want to be able to get into a really tense high speed pursuit. There aren't any games out that give me that ability and it's really sad. I wouldn't mind a Most Wanted 2 as long as the took the exotics and high priced cars out of it, made it so you could drive any time of the day, in any weather, and hell throw some trucks into it, and model it after a real city.

I absolutely love Midnight Club LA because it lets me do everything I want to do, the problem is that you can't really tune your cars (the dyno graph on NFS:Underground 1&2 were awesome), and once you get further in the game it forces you to give up the tuners and muscle cars in lieu of the exotics. Though the bikes in that game were awesome even if the handling was crap.

Why does everything that comes out now have to be about a real racing sim. Who cares about driving cars you'll never own on tracks you'll never go to. I want to go back to the Underground days where the name of the game was building your favorite affordable car and racing it on the city streets and running from the cops. Good stuff, and I miss it.

I feel EXACTLY the opposite. I could not POSSIBLY care less about the underground games. Driving econocrappers with plastic and neon glued on isn't my idea of a fun game. I want to drive exotics I'll never get to drive in real life. I don't care about "tuning" the cars. I want to DRIVE them.

Actually if there was a copy made for the OG xbox and the 360 the 360 won't play the OG copy. Plus even if it will play the original xbox version you don't get achievement points for it.

I just started playing Import Tuner Challenge again today, even though I've beaten it and have 90% of the achievements (can't get the online achievements). I may start playing MC:LA again.

Most Wanted is not a backward-compatible-supported title on the 360. But even if it was, why play the xbox version when there's a superior 360 version available?

I played it again on the 360, the graphics made the second play really enjoyable. Running from the cops never gets old. I hate spike strips I have NFS Carbon, the drifting is meh and so is the canyon sequences, but the game also has the chase element and muscle cars

The physics on Carbon are far worse than MW, at least MW had some realistic qualities as far as the car handling and physics go. My other complaint with carbon was that it forced you to upgrade to exotics, and the OMG I can design my own wheels and bodykits system (which carried over to Prostreet and Undercover) was disgusting. I'd rather put on real aero kits plus the vehicle list on Carbon was meager at best. I'll try playing through it again but I'm pretty sure I'll be just as disappointed.

Physics and Need for speed don't belong in the same sentence.

Started a new game on NFS Carbon yesterday, it's bad, but not as bad as I remember it being. I have a couple more achievements that I can get, unfortunately almost half of the achievements are for online, and I highly doubt that anyone plays this online anymore. I also wish there was a way to turn off the annoying motion blur.
