I'm thinking about putting a fuel pressure regulator on my car a shop told me it was good invetment to keep me from running to lean on my Sr20.

I want to know the advantages of getting one on besides the one previously stated.

Are there any other gains from it?? How would I know if it made a difference, with out a dyno????

any input will be greatly appreciated thanks.

the only way you are gonna know is if you run it on a dyno and use a wideband O2 to tune it. I recommend getting a rising rate fuel pressure regulator if you are gonna go that route.

it's basically like your regular O2 sensor that's in your exhaust now, but widebands are 5-wire and much much more sensitive than regular O2 sensors. Dynos use them for tuning, er SHOULD use them.

the regulator I will be getting is a Tomei it has a bolt and a locking nut.

If I twist the bolt downward will that give more or less fuel pressure?

How do I know if it has made a difference??

Is there any disadvantages???

Thanks for your help

screwing it down would tighten the screwmaking it stiffer

raising base pressure

A/F gauges are worthless for tuning purposes. You need to get it on a dyno to tune it, period.

you don't have to buy one, the dyno shop should have one hooked to their machine. Funny thing also, a lot of the replacements for those sensors, can be bought at Honda. The O2 sensors used in a lot of their newer cars are wideband =)
