Yeah, I got them a week or two ago. Bought them off some old guy for $80.

Feels nice not to be embarrassed of them anymore. Now for paint...

Is your car doing alright clawhammer? I heard some weird noises earlier when I saw you, might have been one of the cars in front or behind you though.

Also, if anyone is interested I have an autometer dual gauge a-pillar pod that I'm not using if someone wants to come pick it up. I used it for a while and decided to use my ATI steering column pods until I can afford to create a new gauge cluster with defi gauges.

Noooooo, it's dying man.

1st, though, I swear to whatever God you believe in that EVERY time I go to the Advance on Uni and Williston I see you and like 3 other 240s. It's crazy.

The noise you heard is my exhaust manifold which is held on by only the rear 4 bolts. The front 4 sheared off and are stuck in the head leaving me with a nasty leak. I've made 3 trips to Clearwater with it like that, and each time I'm so scared I'm either not making it or coming back.

Other problems: timing chain guides are f'd, starter is dead (as of today). Died on my lunch break. Requires lots of banging with a hammer to get her started. And something is wrong with my auto transmission (either ECU or the clutches maybe) where it likes to get stuck in 2nd or 3rd gear and the only way to get it out is to put it in first manually and turn the car off, put it in park, and then turn it back on.

Exhaust manifold is my biggest prob at the moment cause every time I make the drive to Gainesville I notice some missing coolant. And it kinda looks like I might have oil in my res too. Maybe not making the proper seal now with the 4 broken bolts in the head? Who knows.

DOHC rebuild + swap + 5spd are in the works. Probably within a week or two max.

Defi gauge cluster sounds awesome. Is there a reason you prefer the column over the A-pillar? Just curious.

Anyway while I'm at it, well actually nevermind I can't remember it's been so long. I only remember what I saw today:

YouThe red S14 zenki with 350 wheels which is for sale. Dude has a BOUNCY suspension. He crossed the road right in front of me and it was crazy. He must be on a strut/spring combo or some megans or something. And I saw an old man (60-70) in a red vert driving down archer...that thing was MINT. You know he is the original owner. Guy was driving with the top down like he was on top of the world haha.

Yeah, I live in those apartments right there where I saw you so that's why you usually see me near advanced.

Damn, that sucks. If you decide you want to try swapping everything yourself I've got an engine hoist in my garage, not to mention a garage. I swapped in my SR myself so I've got a pretty good idea what goes into it. Shoot me an IM at jamesmrvg if you need any help.

I didn't like the a-pillar only because I had so many wires/vacuum lines going through it. My greddy boost controller has a custom mount I made that lets it face downwards from the headliner so I have a vacuum line running to it through the a-pillar, plus a vacuum line running the boost gauge in the a-piller as well as all the wires to make the boost controller, boost gauge, and oil pressure gauge work. Because there were so many tubes/wires, it make my a-pillar fit funny and it rattled some and got on my nerves. Should be fine for anyone else without so much piping and stuff running through there. Plus I just like my ATI pod gauge :-D

I'm in Gainesville too, it's great to finally see some other NICO members in the area!

I knew with all the 240's in Gainesville there just had to be some other NICO members. Good to "see" you all.

Stock looking red '96 Zenki with tinted windows and AEM stickers on my rear quarter glass. Nothing special.

I do need some help though, if anyone is interested... You can see more about my problem in this post:

Any help would be great. I have beer!
