good to see you outside the Ka-t forum. I'd put money on the KA-T for at least 3-5 pulls, then disaster, but I didn't read anywhere that the KA had to stay together to win the bet.

Longevity, WD=Owned... since you just have a set of dyno numbers that you have to beat, it shouldn't be that hard actually. Especially given the amount of knowledge you have about boosting cars.

Will the #3 rod hold up is the only question...

Man...have some faith I'm confident that she'll hold together. I have all the right stuff for monitoring and data logging. So if something starts to lean out or knock or lose pressure (like the oil) I'll know about it before there is damage. I may be going about this as cheaply as possible, but I'm not just throwing on parts and cranking up the boost. I'll do everything in stages with lots of real world testing.

The best part is knowing what number Noah is sitting at and knowing that his wife will castrate him if he trys to do anything else I just wanna break 350. That's a very reliable number for the KA. I'll use nitrous on track days if I really need to be faster. Not for this contest mind you, I'll need it for yet another challenge I have going in the KAT forum That totals 3 so far

Yup, I hope she holds together. If she comes apart again I'll not be allowed to play with boost for a long time Kate will NOT be happy if I pop another motor.

But I should be ok, I swapped out the oil pump and shimmed the relief valve. So as long as I don't knock I hope I'll be good to go. Like I said, my limiting factor will be the fuel pressure required to actually make decent power. We'll see right

Yeah, off the line, she is pretty damn fast. On cold tires and a sub 20° road I hit 0-60 in 4.2 seconds. I think on a warm road I could get it down to 4 seconds flat.

Car weighs in at 3100.

I'll eat an 08 STI for lunch in the 1320. From a 60 mph roll, I would really destroy it, and if I was brake boosting, it would be an all out slaughter. Mind you, a stage2 '08 STI puts down the same numbers I am putting down. A stock one is much slower.

08 was a crap year for Subaru. They put out the "Toyota looking body style" and made no upgrades to the powerplant. The 09 was given a much larger turbo, better tune and MUCH better suspension. Aside of a larger turbo, it is much more efficiant in the use of the TMIC. Instead of piping going from the turbo to the TMIC, it (directly) bolts up to the TMIC less than 3" from the turbo outlet.

scoobies are monsters out of the hole, as are lancers or any DSM for that matter....but unless they are making serious power, they lack the "from a roll power" it seems....the second the race is moving, an AWD car is at a dissadvantage...much of this has to do with weight and drivetrain loss

I had a DSM that made 660 wheel...it was a monster, but it made big big power...despite the parasitic drivetrain loss those cars had
