Im litterally about to buy my car, And i wanted a WHITE Base Model 2.5S Altima coupe, Automatic Transmission,
but all the 2011 White Coupes are gone. So its either a base Model white 2012 Coupe, or A Fully loaded 2011 coupe of a DIFFERENT color, such as Dark Slate. I know it seems obvious to just get a different color, but I was really wanting a white one to go with my black rims and really like white. So Idk what to do,

2012 BASE White Coupe
OR
2011 (premium+ Convenience package) Other color Coupe.

Because these were the rims I was going to get with my WHITE coupe: http://www.wheelfire.com/scontent/Wheel ... n=Standard

Thanks

A GOOD repaint (color change) requires removal of all interior, rubber trim, glass, and emblems, as well as the bumpers, headlights, taillights, hood and trunklid. $8K or more isn't unrealistic.

Probably the single WORST thing you can do to a new car's resale value.

Kind of a dumb idea.

If you can't find the car you want in the color you want, you're not looking very hard. Do a nationwide search - you can ship a car cross-country for a grand. Hell, MY local dealer says he can get it for you, no problem.

Paint job costs around $3,000. But please do not settle. Settling with respect to your car always comes back to haunt you. If you think premium package > exterior color then get it.

Yeah, the thing is there are none left in California. I spoke with 7 different dealers today (yes 7) all said they are out and couldnt find any in Cali, except one said they could only find 3. The problem is the shipping cost to. it might be more than $1k. What dealer is yours? Id like to contact them maby they can ship one down.

Wait sorry, you kinda confused me, so your saying choose the color over the fully loaded, or the fully loaded or the color?

Thanks

But why are you choosing car color, and losing value over it, for a set of knockoff wheels?

I MIGHT factor in car color if I ALREADY had a real set waiting.

BBS RS GT or RGR

Others I'm sure, the style is reproduced a lot.

get the color you want, but keep in mind features like leather and navi will only add to the resale value. You could always add an aftermarket stereo/nav unit and leather for around 1K (for leather) so it's up to you I guess.

imo the way nissan has their packages set up is strange, especially now that very good quality aftermarket options are very competitively priced. Like you have to spend a couple extra grand and you HAVE to have certain packages before you qualify for the tech package.

True, cause like in order to have the Red Leather interior you HAVE to buy all the other packages, otherwise you only get the black and other leather colors to pick from, that what im gonna do though is get aftermarket for $1k

Your dealer sucks. All of them.

And I ship cars all over the country, I know how much it costs.

I will PM you the dealer info. We're one state away. If your dealer isn't an idiot, he can get the car from AZ for nothing.

oh really, yeah see none of them offered out of state, they all were searching in california, so i figured there wouldn't be much anything else. Its hard though cause im looking specifically for a White, 2011, CVT Trans, Coupe. (2012 is fine its just the higher price issue) So not sure if you know if they have that or not. And if they do, It'd have to be in my price range depending on the packages. But hey if they do, Id be glad to check it out!!

Thanks

My girl just picked up a new Mazda 3. She wanted white. We went through the motions with the dealer on a black model in the exact trim and packages she wanted that was on the lot. When it came time to sign we "walked" because they didnt have the white she wanted and they originally said deal was for on the lot only. We made it to the parking lot before they called us back in. We are in NJ, her car (the EXACT model and trim) made it from GA in 3 days and the dealer ate the cost.

Moral of story: make them get you your white coupe.

I would never buy a car for the wheels. I simply like white, and only want white. Because I like the black and white color theme. I just like the white in a car. So Once I buy the car, Ill pick out some black rims, wheels for the car, not the car for the wheels

My dealer tried to sell me a black coupe(the one I test drove). I told him I wanted the blue, he did a search within 100-200 miles and found me 3 blue coupes with different packages, all from the same dealer 75 miles away. I picked the one I wanted and it was delivered within 3 days. My dealership drove a car that the other dealership wanted from their lot and they met halfway and traded. My dealer went a little out of his way because I was a returning customer. BTW, the black coupe was fully loaded and had a 6 speed, their was not an option left off. It was a rare AC at the time and very tempting :yesnod

Was your blue one a base model or loaded with anything? Thats cool though.

I think im just in a much rarer situation than all of you guys, you guys got lucky! haha. California literally has only Two 2011 White coupes left, all which are fully loaded, there ARE other ones in the country but they are not base models either Idk, I wish I bought it 2 months ago when it was available. 8(

maybe try a manual transmission white A/C?? Although, those are usualy ONLY base for the 2.5. THe 3.5 MT is fully loaded.

DEF try looking at nearby states' dealerships. I originally wanted a red 2.5 MT but settled for a white 2.5 MT since all the dealers by me didnt have a red 2.5 MT. Although i really wanted red, white did def grow on me.

White isn't bad. It's great. Had my white 2008 3,5SE coupe up in Ventura Saturday morning and parked in the 'old town' area for breakfast. It drew attention. Debadged except for trunk burger. Stainless billet grill (that I hate). And, non-standard wheels. Catches attention of other drivers on the road too. Black and white are the two hardest colors to maintain. With black you see everything. Since white is white you see almost everything. Both must be cleaned regularly.
