Gague Cluster Broken. Need help.

So i took out my gauge cluster in my sentra (holds the odometer, tac, speedo all the fun stuff) I was trying to unsolder the orange lights and solder in blue lights i bought. One member on this forum has successfully done this. Anyways to make a long story short I screwed up the gauge cluster board (droped it). I found a bunch on ebay that arent to much money which is good news. My question is on all these ebay pages it says the mileage that was on the gauge cluster when it was removed from the scraped sentra. So if I buy one of these gauge clusters off ebay and install it in my car will my car read the same mileage on the odometer or will it read the mileage of the car it was taken from? I have around 24,000 miles on my car and from what i saw the one on ebay says 27,000. I dont want to depreciate the value of my car by adding false miles to the car.

So pretty much were does the mileage of the car get stored?Is it in the ECU or is it built into the Gauge cluster board?

The gauge cluster stores the ECU. If you swap it out with another cluster with a different mileage, then that will become your new mileage. I would rather have one with a few extra k miles, then one that takes the mileage backwards.
