It's all about how much you're willing to pay. Also, digital gauges are preferred by most people.

Defi (pricey but BALLIN)Stri (cool, cheap, but good gauges)Autometer (you can never go wrong with these)

Pick your poison.

It is not just your spelling, but you cannot put neither sentence right.

But you do not need any gauges. If you really want them for your own personal taste, get

Water tempOil pressure

Oil temp is not really as important. As long as you keep your water temperature down, you will have oil temperature in working range.

100% on the Oil Pressure ... moocho needo for turbo! Exhaust Temp may not be a bad idea either. I've used Autometer for 20+ years ... never failed me. Your factory water temp gage should suffice.

Damn man. U need to read a book or two. But yea everyone might have hit the nail on the head with which ones to get. If I was you I would get a boost gauge as well.

I'm gonna blow some minds. Are you ready for this? ARE YOU READY FOR THIS?

Get your car TUNED.

You don't need a f***ing rave gauge to show whether or not you're rich or lean. If you had the damn car tuned, you wouldn't have to worry about it.

I agree i wouldnt get an a/f ratio gauge.

But for any turbo/super/itb car a wideband is important.

Ok well as far as the car being tuned, i am not sure if it is tuned right. I got the car from a guy who had the engine put in from a shop called venus auto in sacramento cali. So this is the fist import i have owned and i just want to make sure that it lasts and dont blow up on me is all. I was just asking for some help not some flame about how dumb iam. So thanks to those that were helpful. I got out of this that i should get a oil temp gage, wideband not to sure what that is. Also i should get oil pressure and EGT what is a EGT like i said iam new to this scene and spent half my tax return on this car and just dont want my wife to go I told you so.

The most valuable tool you can have for any turbo car is knowledge. So just take some time to listen to others and research right down to the basics. Gauges are extremely important for monitoring as much aspects of your drivetrain as you can. So you're on the right track. If you're going to stay with an otherwise stock SR, you should be good with the Oil Pressure and EGT gauges. Your car has a factory water temp gauge and the factory boost gauge should be fine. Maybe invest in a turbo-timer too.

Thanks I got the car and havnt even drove it other then to my house. I am on this site for hrs at a time just trying to get as much knowledge as i can and i have learned alot so far from all of you. Its got the boost and the turbo timer as well. So ill plan on just the oil temp and presser and egt. I wanted to find a s13 that had the sr20 and took me weeks to find one that had a working gage cluster. so many people didnt do the small things and that what i want to do. As all girls say its the small things that count and my s13 girl is the same haha.

im with you to a point but ive seent some good reasons for a wide band. good example is co workers boosted GMC canyon, wideband on that showed that his FP was starting to go out when it was starting to creep lean
