Gage cluster not working right with sr20det.

just did the sr20det swap into a 91 240sx. Thge engine is a s14. The gage worked before swap was done. now the rpm gage isn't working but the temperature gage is moving in place of the rpm's. ive heard that you cant use an american cluster with the sr20det, but want to know if any of you know how to make it work? Everything else on the cluster is working fine except that the rpm and temp are switched.

The dash plug was wired wrong. The 91-94 gauge cluster works perfect on a SR swap. Its the 89-90 Cluster that the RPM wont work because it reads a 12v signal, compared to the 16v signal the DOHC motor has.

Its at the end of the transmission. tere are two plugs. Its the bottum one. All you have to use is a 10mm and then pull it out. Its like 2 inch long.

So u only switched a sensor instead of the cluster? how did u do this and where. i prefer going the cheap way instead of buying a new cluster.

are you sure your not talking about about the speed sensor?

Ya. I changed the speed sensor. took the one out of the ka24 transmission and replaced the one in my sr20det with it.
