Hey guys, I searched and wasn't able to come up with any answers to my question... I have a 90 and I am wanting to get to my gauge pod. My odometer is screwy and I believe that it is because a gear isn't staying in place so I was going to glue the gear... But I am not positive that that is the problem with it... I know that tampering with the odometer is illegal but I don't want to pay an arm and a leg to get it fixed (along with being without my speedometer for weeks)...

So my question is how do I get the facia that holds the gauges in off.... Do I have to remove the whole dash?? I have gotten the black plastic part that is behind the steering wheel lose but not completely off b/c I didn't want to remove the steering wheel at the time...

Also once I am know how to get to the gauges it will make it faster for me to change my gauge faces when I decide to do that...

Thanks in advance for your help...

You have two options to get the gauge sluster out.1. Remove the sterring wheel.2. Lower the sterring column.

There is a third but really not preferable...break the bezel...yeah didn't think you wanted that one.

Removing the steering wheel is probably the easiest, just make sure that you mark the allignment , otherwise your turn angle sensor will not be correctly alligned, and your turn signals won't work properly. Just be careful with it and take your time. Once you get the bezel out there wil be, I think, four screws holding the gauge cluster in. Once the gauge cluster is unscrewed, remove the electrical connections on the back of it. To get at the odometer you need to remove the rear half of the gauge cluster from the front half, YOU DON'T HAVE TO REMOVE THE CLEAR PLASTICE LENSE. Then figure out what is broken. If you need a new odometer gear set, e-mail me and I can send you one for S&H, but act fast as I won't be in town much longer.

Not quite yet.... haven't had the time yet. I hope to get it done near the end of the week, hopefully before the weekend.
