Ok, I am really just sick and tired of seeing so many people beating up on the GA16DE. Sure the SR20DE is a versatile motor and has more aftermarket parts available but the GA16DE is very willing to cooperate with mods aswell. The GA16 shows so much potential yet is rarely truly tapped. I for one own a 95 200sx SE with 93,XXX miles and run 14's and have only had it for 3 months. It's funny how my best friend who is all about his SE-R and the SR20 gets whomped by the SR20DE's baby brother. Of course my GA isn't stock, I think it should still give hope to those GA16 owners who get beat on for having the smaller engine.

i havent seen anyone here bash the GA16 directly. so where is the rant coming from?

is it because people keep suggesting swapping from the GA16 to the SR20?

sometimes there is no replacement for displacement. The Ga16 is a stout motor for sure though.

Do the same mods to an SR-powered car and then tell me this rant is worth your time.

The GA isn't a bad motor, and the SR isn't as brilliant as fanboys make it out to be, but the fact is that the SR20 was designed with more performance potential in mind.

By the way, you'd definitely be kicking his *** harder if you didn't have all those audio and exterior mods to slow you down. Why do you have an SE-R badge anyway if you're out there to represent the GA?
