ga16de horrible gas milage

so girlfriends b13 is getting about 18-20 mpg on average, about 200 miles per tank.

we drive with the windows down, and roll them up at stop lights and turn on the a/c, then roll the windows back down when we go. its f***ing hot here. thats what got it up to 20 mpg.

plugs arent too old, fram filter is pretty clean, cant smell gas or anything so there shouldnt be a leak, idle is so low it dies sometimes when i put it in drive. i advanced the timing a little bit, but gas milage didnt change, its just a little quicker now. idk whats wrong.

any suggestions?

i just got the codes off the ecu and it was a 32 egr malfunction, could that be the reason for the gas mileage, and what could it mean exactly? just look at the egr?

Yep, clean the EGR.

replace the bpt hose when you do the egr

nvm, a piston ring just blew on it a few days ago =[so we dont have to worry about it anymore
