ga16 valve cover gasket????

hello to every one my name is Allen i just bought a 1998 nissan 200sx well the valve cover leaks and well i took it off an i wondering how to get the plastic cover on the inside of the valve cover so i put the new spark plug gaskets or is there some other way of doing it HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ok so i found out i have to replace the valve cover

Why? Is it broken in any way? That doesn't make a lot of sense. From your description it sounds like the gasket is the issue, as if there's a gap between the VC and the head (a-la where the head gasket is) causing the leak.. Feel free to post a picture of your vc and maybe I can see what you're talking about.

I think you are a little confused there... The valve cover gasket is between the vc and head, not the head gasket. Head gasket is between the head and block - definately not the issue here. Either way... to the OP, Are you talking about the spark plug tube seals? aka... the "gaskets" that seal the spark plug holes in the valve cover? And as nametakennow asked - why do you need a new valvecover? Is it broken? Any chance you could take a pic of what you need/what the problem is?

spark plug tube seals are bad they leaks oil into the spark plugs so i went to replace the tube seals and you can't i was told you have to replace the whole valve cover and i was like but i talk to a tech a nissan and you have to replace the whole thing but what makes no since because the valve cover gasket comes with the tube seals from fel-pro so i'm like

ok i found out that most car have screws that hold on this plastic cover on in side of the valve cover the plastic is supposed to hold the spark plug tube gasket well mine is like glued on there is no screws so you have to replace the valve cover to replace the spark plug tube gaskets p.s i found a alloy valve cover on ebay for $60.00 with shipping
