Just received some 350Z rims(17 x7.5, 8.0) for my 94' Q, but instead of receiving the expected two 7.5 x 17 and two 8.0 x 17, I am sitting on three 8.0 and one 7.5. If I put one of the 8.0 rims up front, will this present any fitment problems? In that case, what would be the preferred tire size up front thinking that I might go 225 50 or 235 50 up front with 235 50 in the rear, alternatively 235 50 all the way around. As I understand it, these rims run an offset of about +33.

I dont think youd ever be able to tell which one was the 7.5 or 8...

id run 235 all the way around.

I think you will have really weird hadling behavior at the limits if you run a 7.5" width wheel on one end of the axle and an 8" on the other.

Think ememgency manuevers. Even high G braking. The tire profiles will be different.

I wouldn't do it...you'll have different weights at different ends of your suspension. I assume you bought these from a person and not from nissan, another thing you must ask, is why does this person have three 8.0's? Did they slam into a curb and replace the one wheel they 'had' to? Would make me wonder about the integrity of the other wheels, honestly.

Good luck, though, whichever direction you go with it.

I'd look to sell the one odd ball and pick a 4th 8" wheel. If you don't get the look (additional rear lip) from staggered, you might as well have all 4 the same. I wish I had 4 rears of my current wheels.

These wheels were supposed to have come from an individual, but more likely a reseller with a tire outlet. My guess is that they located the rims after the internet order was made, throwing it together at the last moment and screwing it up. They have said that they will send me a replacent 7.5" through the local Discount Tire Store, so I think that the problem has been solved. Thanks everyone for your ideas. I was getting ready to locate a fourth 8" rim. If anyone needs some of the old pie pan rims at a good price, please let me know.

The first set of wheels I put on my Q were the staggerd Z wheels and after switching to Maxima wheels of the same size, I am hooked. The staggerd set up really pushed the front end around in a car that already pushes the front end around. Go 8" all the way if you can......
