This pertains to G50s front and rears, and probably to the rest of the Qs for just the rear.......

http://www.twinturbo.net/net/v...35775

Its a great read, and should be 95% applicable to G50s since its basically the same suspension... Obviously they have more wiggle room because the Q has a 26" OD tire whereas the the Z uses 24.8, so basically an inch less sidewall, makes a difference....

Im going to work the formula's tomorrow and see if the Q numbers compare, i think we will have to stick more toward the middle range since we cant run lower profile tires due to load rating constrictions.... Right now im running stock wheels with 235-60-15.... Pretty sure that stock wheels are 15x6.5 with 45mm offset... Running 10mm spacers up front for Z caliper fitment...

the thought of 18x10 rears is

Since he lists different offset mininmum and maximums for 17" and 18", I wonder how/if these numbers would change for 19" wheels ...
excerpt from tt.net wrote: For convenience, i'll summarize the same information in terms of offset limits for a given wheel size that should avoid clearance issues:- front:-- 7.5" width -> +16 - +57-- 8.0" width -> +23 - +50-- 8.5" width -> +29 - +44-- 9.0" width -> +35 - +38-- 9.5" width -> not generally possible

- rear:-- 17x8.5 -> +22 - +55-- 17x9.0 -> +28 - +48-- 17x9.5 -> +34 - +42-- 17x10.0 -> not generally possible, though +41 has been done

Arthur Exchange, 18" x 9" + 10", 114.3mm PCD, 5 Stud +24 offset.

If only..... (damn offsets!!) I wonder if I could roll the guards to make them fit.

The import shop these are in, is local to me (sorta)

Genesis 18" x 10" and 11". 114.3mm PCD x 5 Stud.

and...

Enki Gspec, 18" x 9" + 10", 114.3mm PCD, 5 Stud.

Maybe these?

http://www.talebtyres.com.au/p...o=258

I emailed them to ask for the available offsets for this wheel, and they said +35.

Is this ok for 8.5" wide rims?

Seems ok by the chart, but I was wondering if anyone had wheels with the same specs as these, or fairly close to them. If so, what do you think about the fit? Clearance issues etc?(18"x8.5" +35 offset)

I think I may try the 18x9 FR500 style mustang wheels for '05-06 mustangs. They're 36mm backspace so it looks like it may fit about perfect. Just need hub rings to go from the 66mm hub to the 70.5mm wheel opening.

Maybe we should use this thread.... or, maybe create a new one. But, what do you guys think about posting up pics of your Q with any different wheels combinations you might have tried?

Hopefully, with all the people who have tried things, we can put together a pretty comprehensive list of what has worked well on the Q. Plus, people would be able to actually see them on the car they intend to put them on.

Anyone?

Good idea!

I started using this already existing thread, to save making another.....

But maybe a dedicated thread of pictures of wheels fitted to the Q, with sizes and offsets and tyres fitted would be handy to have as a sticky.

And a mod could keep an eye on it and move any questions posted in it to another thread, just to keep it tidy.

It looks fairly close on Rob's car....

The +35 offset of the wheels I posted the link of would push the lip of the rim further out, by the smallest amount.

I could probably get away with rolling the lip of the guards, or chosing narrower tyres.

Thanks for the link Rex!

Alright... I got it started. Pile it on.

I'll keep an eye on it and try to keep it cleaned up.

Not to pile the work up on you, but could you maybe copy some of the fitments and pictures already posted?

Like the link Rex gave here on Rob's Q?

I'm sure there are others around.... maybe ask wes for some help in compiling a list....

I'll try to go through and tidy some threads up tomorrow evening. I'll do some searching (BMWKiller already posted a couple potential thread links in the other thread) for similar threads and see if I can pull some info from those.

I like where this is going!

Quick question though...... Is there a difference between the standard suspension and the active regarding wheel choice (offsets, etc)?

Based on previous discussions, no.
