I'm having the water pump done. What else should I have replaced while in there?

Great question!

Definitely a thermostat... Make sure the fan and fan clutch are good.

Pull the radiator out and clean between it and the condensor really well - makes a huge difference.

Also, you may want to pull the plenum and have all 8 injectors serviced / rebuilt. Q45's go through injectors pretty commonly, and Deatschwerks (our sponsor) can refurb them all for the cost of ONE new one from the dealer.

Belts and hoses would make sense at this point as well, and of course drain / refill trans fluid and oil.

Really there isnt anything that you have to take off to get to the water pump, besides the fan and the belt....

Tstat isnt a bad idea, and taking out theradiator isnt hard!

I would go ahead and replace the t-stat cover, radiator hoses, and "sacrificial annode" pipe that runs between the t-stat cover and lower radiator hose. Might as well replace belts and check/replace idler pullies while you're in there too.
