I had hoped to have time to run down to Atlanta this spring and have the transmission properly serviced and new upgraded TC installed. Unfortunately circumstances don't allow me the luxury to take time off right now...I am still planning to purchase the TC and have it installed locally. My question is, besides the engine / transmission mounts and rear main seal, what else needs attention while this service is done?

The transmission regularly slips beyond 70 mph. It's been like that for some time, and I've adjusted my driving style accordingly....

TC should be fine, just the clutch should require replacing. Might be cheaper to do both, though.

Keep in mind that this is a '92 w/ 187k on the odometer. As far as I know, this transmission has never been removed. I've replaced the fluid and filter 3 times since I've owned her (approx. every 25k) and added an external cooler.

So far I've settled on replacing the engine / transmission mounts, TC, sensors and clutch disks.
