Anyone have one laying around?

Seems to be no longer available.

Maybe one of you crazy guys did what I should have done, and bought a bunch of them.

Would rather new, but even just a used one with the sponge still in it. Mine is totally devoid of smells, as I got the last bit of it out when I moistened it a few years ago.

Did anyone ever figure out how to copy it?

There are none in the junk yards around here anymore.

Thanks,

Get a sponge, cut it to shape, soak it in air fresh stuff, install? Just put a paper filter in there and go scentless? That would be my choice since I don't like perfumed stuff. Maybe someone has a stockpile, like you asked.

One of those things I don't think I've ever purchased or replaced. Ditto on the suggestion of getting some kind of dense sponge or layers of felt, and soaking it in your favorite smell...

My favorite smell is the warm greeting of tanned leather and the ever so slight musk of the stock fragrance.

If the name of the fragrance used is available, Id be happy to purchase it, and soak my sponge in it.

But alas...

See, intoxicating, entrancing, enthralling, and contagious it is :)

Probably one of my favorite smelling cars. Its just a nice smell.

The smell of my 510 and Mk1's are nice too, but a different kind of old car smell.

My rotarys smell of anger and oil.

The Q is just fancy smelling.

Or you could go to a store like Kirkland's and buy a scented sachet packet and toss it under the seat.

Sarcasm noted.

We have an incredible SEARCH feature on this forum. (edited Q451990: here's a link to a similar thread: fragrance-unit-in-driver-s-seat-t148475.html )

Sigh, Your not the new Brian are you :)

Had my Q for 22 yrs, and been with the forum since yahoo. Albeit, a long break.

While the search engine is a fantastic tool, my thread was asking 2 specific questions in the 1st. post.

I understand this is a longshot, but its a better odds longshot, when not all jumbled up at the end of someone elses post.

Thanks.
