So, my JDM G50 only goes up to about 180kmh (110mph) - so I thought no problem, I would get one from Impul which goes up to 280kmh (175mph).

Couple of phone calls and I could have had one - for US$850 My jaw literally dropped

Plan B - I was hoping someone nice from the Q45 community in the USA could source and price an entire gauge cluster from a G50.

I believe US clusters go up to 160mph? Which would be quite sufficient, and they do have KM/H readings dont they

I would then ask for the gauge to be posted to me here in Australia.

I will obviously pay for the cluster and postage, plus a little extra for your time - via Paypal.

Yeah, but oth display items are different, like we have no gear slector setting. See if you can source and Australian spec speedometer. Chally on here would know, but I haven't seen him post for a few years.

If I could find an Aus spec then that would be terrific - but I only want the actual speedo out of the US clusters anyway... I'd rather a whole cluster simply for safety during transit.

Have one of us buy it if they won't ship to Australia.

Sorry, off topic, but I thought this would be of interest for you maxnix.

His name is Jason and he's a Senior Infiniti Tech in Houston. Just thought you could pass that info along to other Texas Q owners if they didn't have it already.

If you were already aware of his existence, don't be too derisive at my tardiness. I'd hate to look like a Johnny-Come-Lately.

If you ever sell her give me a buzz id be extremely happy and glad to take her off your hands, not that you probably ever will, but if you do please call me first!!!!!!!907-488-1301 ask for chris.

Thanks, but he was not trained as an Infniti technician until 2002, and only has 15 years of automotive experience total, so he could not be a Senior Infiniti Technician as defined by Q45tech - i.e., one who was trained upon the G50 intial introduction in 1989.

Goes to show how rare the true old Senior techs are. And they are becoming more so.

Thank you Chris for your kind words. I fell in love with this car because of the color combination and was probably the reason why I bought it. I have spent more than twice the amount that I paid for it in maintenance. I have put all I can into it. If I decide to let her go, I will let you know first .

I might be able to get something for you out of a 91, 92 or 94 from my local JY. Not sure what the cost would be. Want me to go see if it's there. We can talk offline at [email protected] (without the periods.)

Here is a pic... before I cleaned it up. Also, it's from a 95', not a 94' as I originally stated. I'll send you an email soon.

Sorry, the double-post was unintentional.

Looks good - perhaps we can do a deal to include the clock too - if you still have it.

It should fit into a 1990 right? Mine is broken

I'll await your email!
