I was browsing and came up on these. They certainly don't look brand new, but I would take them over what I used to have for what they're asking.

Notice that the freight to SoCal will be double the asking price EACH.

When I first got the Q, I had wanted to swap out the 90-93 seats for the 94-96's. Mainly for the seat warmers. Wes talked me out of it.

Rather than get new seats, I may just have mine reupholstered in black, unless I find some black seats and just swap those.

I have had not so good experience with used seats. I have bought many and not one was great. For what I want a reupholstered set is going to be the way I go. After I saw ddruman's I new that was the best way to go. My advice, don't buy a used off ebay.

Seems like a poor deal to buy those e bay seats when you factor in shipping costs- might as well bite the bullitt and take your own seat to a local upholstery craftsman and choose the quality of leather you are willing to pay for and get them done with brand new materials.

They are located 90 miles from Indianapolis, 40 miles from Champaign, 170 from Chicago etc. When my seats were all screwed up I would have driven up to 150, 200 miles to get that kind of price.

I don't need them now. I just did my seats a few months ago and I'm very happy with the job. I just thought that someone in the Midwest could snap them.

Tough to buy seats unseen. Cheapest option is to find the needle in a haystack. Find a passenger seat (driver's are always bad) off a junked Q and swop the cushions. Took me a long time but I've found a decent passenger seat from a 90' Q. I'll post a few photos when I'm done.... having time is a factor for me.

The seller is really high on the shipping.

I bought a complete interior #200205243742 and shipping is $267 (Unishippers) from MA to Utah.

Still trying to decide if I should have done this, but a complete clean interior is always nice to have on hand.

They look a lot better than my current seats. I am in the Midwest, Indy as a matter of fact and my front seats are trashed. I use sheepskins to cover them but would prefer to see the leather.

Is it a simple hook up and go for my 94 Q or are there other considerations in making a trade up to the 96 seats?

I believe that 94,95 and 96 had identical interiors.

Thanks for the heads up...........I got them for the asking price $69. I am going to have them shipped to me instead of picking them up as I had thought I would. Still at $110 shipped to me it is still desirable. If they are not exactly what I wanted they are an upgrade from what I had and give me a chance to shop around for the best deal to get other set reupol. while I am driving with a set that is workable.

Not a lot of Q's in Indiana, if I were in Calif or even Chicago, I may have passed.

Thanks Mike...............I have been at it for a while. I hope they look like the picture......I was told they would be the very same. I thought about picking them up but with the price of gas a four hour plus round trip and the iffy weather now, why not let them send it?

Good going! I hope they work out until you get what you really want.

Yeah... the other one will probably show if next week. E bay sellers are good for that. And he has a reserve that has not been met.I will be seeing what I got in a few and after looking at mine again under the sheepskin...... they cannot be anything but an upgrade. Thank God for sheepskins. Warmth in the winter, cool in the summer and durable.

Yeah I saw that product today as well. I have never used it but I doubt it would be of any help to me, my seats are beyond anything but being redone. It may help someone, though and thanks for the thought.

These seats arrived a couple of days ago, on pallets. I am still recovering from a seven hour surgery so I cannot lift much. I did get a good look at them and I could see no tears or obvious signs of wear. I am pleased. Thanks for the heads up again. The forum and all the members pitching in to provide info on various experiences is a valuable aid.

Is the leather still soft? Thats always my biggest concern with used seats. The material could be in tact but hard as a rock from sitting in the sun, which would make it more prone to cracking and ripping.

Glad it worked out for you so far, and I hope they serve you until you can get either new ones or have them reupholstered like I did.

It's been 30+ years since I lived in SoCal but can you still get a cheap one day upholstery job in Tijuana?

They are still wrapped in plastic, like I said. Soft leather on a 15 yr old pair of seats that cost less than 100 bucks a piece, shipped? Come on, I mean it would be nice but soft is not my concern.

I understood that the Q seats were never very soft. They have a seal or coating that prevented them from being soft in favor of the wear and tear factor. But I could be wrong, I have been before.

I was never even aware of such a thing! That means that I probably missed out on a deal.
