G50: seat won't move....help!!!!!

My wife got in the Q yesterday and it ran the drivers seat all the way up under the steering wheel. The recline button works and the front-rear adjustment clicks when you move it, but doesn't adjust the seat. I tried turning the seat recall switch on and off, resetting the memory and don't reallly know what to do next except check the motor. Is it possible to move the seat manually since I'm in the middle of a move and really have no extra time? thanks, guys

try unplugging the battery for a while (call it 10 mins or more?) and maybe it will reset itself.

Power seat motors are very common to go out in Nissan/Infiniti product.

Not on Q unless abused with food, pets, drink, cig ashes, dirt. dead snakes and rodents of all kinds in generally from sloppy abusive house keeping.

I'm not sure how many exact times my seat has moved in 16.5 years. At least 5,000 days say 20,000 times minimum.

However I remove seats every few years and clean the carpet and trash and lube the mechanisms....................

Just took the rear seats yesterday to blow out dust and clean the rear shelf panel so I could clean the rear window properly. 6 screws for seats and 6 for storage.

So easy to clean and treat leather when apart and outside.

I would say 1 of 10 Nissan/Infiniti cars, suv's that I get in stock need the seat mechanics replaced.

The same thing happened to me! Neat. I found out when I was about to drive to work. It was way too dangerous to drive with me smushed against the steering wheel.

It turned out to be a tape measure had coveniently jammed the seat so it wouldn't move back. After a tape-measure-ectomy, everything was good again.
