OMFG.

Even if I could just have the wheels.

Now that I'm a permanent resident of Canada, I can get a JDM President and not have to worry about a LHD conversion. Hooray for me!

I REALLY like what they did to that C-pillar (or is it a D-pillar now? ).The rear windowframe could have been done more cleanly, but the pillar itself does amazing things for the car.

God awful things I would say. The C pillar in the G50 is not only useful but compelling aesthetically.

Looks way out of porportion and must be a huge blind spot, but so is everything behind the driver's seat.

Eh, blind spots are unavoidable. Drive a truck for a while and they won't bother you anymore. That's what mirrors and neck muscles are for.

All three of those cars have beautiful C-pillars. The Q just needs to loose the thick chrome around the tops of the windows so the sharp corner at the back of the rear side window isn't advertised.

I've seen RHD vehicles all over the place in Seattle, with full registration. There is no law here I am aware of that requires LHD. The major costs in importation are due to the emissions standards updates that most people have to go through to get the car legal here. Or you could just register in the boonies. I've seen a couple RHD Skylines and NSX's driving down the road along with some euro-trash as well.

RHD is definitely legal. You can order Jeep Wranglers in RHD if you want.

Really? I'd always assumed that either a conversion was required or some sort of special exemption mandating special plates.

Is it something that varies by state?

Isn't most of our mail delivery vehicles RHD? I've seen quite a few original Mini Coopers and old Rolls Royces on the road that are RHD as well.

As far as the Mail trucks go, I'd always assumed that it was for practical purposes as it would allow the carrier to deliver mail without leaving the truck.

The RR's that I've seen are the vintage ones, often with commercial livery plates or QQ vintage plates.

Ugh, lets' get off the RHD issue. There's no law or issue prohibiting RHD. The issue is bringing in cars that aren't compliant with FVMSS (same as the Skyline issue).

The G50 would be no problem, as it's substantially similar to a car offered in the US market.

I love the limo treatment... In fact, I'd be all for hitting that with some Junction Produce goodies and going full-VIP with it.

Nothing more VIP than a limo, right?

You got it all wrong.

I'm the guy that slings shlt sideways - Torry's the one that threads 'em between the cones.

That's right. Torry even rode in the back in the GT-R.

Beautiful ride though. Would be a sweet addition to anyones garage.

Car: lots of unique hot rods, and customs, with modern engines, and a good truck to pull the trailer.

Exactly Hitman.

A local guy drives a RHD Civic ricer all day, a Army guy got a German BMW, one that looks nothing like a US BMW, and drives it, no laws for RHD, just safety, and emmissions.

so Greg, you dont think anyone would have any issues importing a president into the states? You think its close enough that it'd be able to be titled?

On a G50, there a very few small ones. The "Opera Window" is one of its best functional and esthetic features.

Huge and opaque, certainly. Ugly is a matter of opinion. As for the first two, it's not like the stock Q's rear quarter windows offer much more visibility with their thick interior trim blocking driver line-of-sight.

I think the thick pillars are artistic and interesting and add dimension to the shape of the car. They're a great way to make big, long, open-headroom roofs seem sharper and more strongly defined. They also look more formal, which is great for luxury cars.
