I'm on the market for a higher volume/cooling capacity radiator. What options are there? I looked for hours but came up with nothing. I'm assuming I have to build one myself or have one made.

Are there any cars that have more aftermarket options that are close to the same size that can be adapted to fit on the 1990 Q45?

Thanks!

Look at the CSF radiator I got.. Its a little more capacity, but its all metal which certainly would help a lot... Its a drop in replacement and isnt too expensive, with a lifetime warranty... :)

Thanks for the tip, I'm leaning towards a radiator that can handle say a turbo system, or at least gymkhana runs and my daily drive to work on the mountain roads with a/c on and going up hill in 105 degree temps. I have a new stock aluminum radiator, but i need more capacity...

Why not just plumb in a 2-3 gallon inline holding tank to increase total system volume- maybe place it in the space used for the cooler in the active suspension model- this would basically DOUBLE total coolant capacity, and could be plumbed with a bypass for winter if appropriate!

I would rather have a bigger radiator so It will increase capacity and cool at the same time.
I don't need to take up room with a holding tank because I'm planning a turbo in the future.

Thanks for those links.

I'm still having trouble finding the old threads with the search option.
I see some threads about the brass radiator, but not the custom Griffin. I am interested in that one!

BTW, has anyone tried this in a 45 yet?

Do you mind posting the links to the threads about the brass radiators so that all the good radiator threads will be here in this one.

You should also look up what sijoko did on his Q, he custom fit a dual pass radiator from summit racing, might be more like what you want.

"The radiator is an all-aluminum 24 x 19 double-pass unit with the inlet and outlet on the right side. It is a 2-core design and has more coolant capacity than the OEM even though it is not as wide. I used flexible stainless radiator hose to connect everything. It is similar to the Cool-Flex hoses that are sold by Summit and Jegs."

MASTER OF THE SEARCH!!!

Maybe you forget going to the US and just charge people $0.50 USD to do searches on NICO and other forums.

thanks for the info, I'll try and get more info on the aluminum double pass radiator. I had one made for my 240z that supports 800+hp, If I could buy one somewhere it would be nice. Or at least something I can buy and make own mounting brackets.
I'm not interested in the brass radiator.
