Thanks in advance guys for your help. Ive had nothing but positive feedback since re joining here so here I go again. Got my 93 running pretty solid now, no sounds or vibrations anymore, starts and runs solid. But, I've had a nagging electrical issue for a while as well. When I press down the brake my dash lights flicker for a half sec? Also while sitting idle with my foot on the brake, I can see a very slight flicker in the digital trip and in the dome light if I open the door. Cant seem to put my finger on this, I've spoken with another member local to me and got some ideas but nothing that seems to make sense. Heres what related work ive done:

1. New alternator (yes, aftermarket but has been tested and inspected good)
2. New battery, less than 30 days old
3. New battery terminals
4. New grounds - Moved main ground to a clean spot with a new wire, added 2 additonal grounds

My TCS system hasnt worked since I got the car, could that be causing a strain?

Trying to get this sorted so that I can drop a new radio and speakers in soon.

One of my cars does the same and has for years. I chopped it up as normal. And no a non functional Traction Control System will not cause any strain on the electrical system.

Did you replaced the ground wire with a new OEM ground wire? What was wrong with the engine block and alternator surfaces where the OEM ground wire goes to I believe?

Main ground under the battery tray was rusty/cooroded. So I replaced the wire with a fresh one and grounded to another clean area by the fender. Added another new ground off the front of the alternator, and another off the neg battery. I used wire from oreillys that was already prepared with eyelets and all. Definately made the issue less noticable but still there.

I think my Q does that too, especially if it's sitting not at idle. I guess it depends how noticeable it is... I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Only other thing you could try is cleaning the contacts on the bulbs/connectors. Perhaps something is corroded and it's drawing more power than it should.

alright fair enough. I was going to swap out my dome light and courtesy lights for LED. Just didnt want a failure when I start upgrading my sound.
