the downside is that everything original will begin to fail all around the same time, creating a reason to walk away from the car.....why I kinda think getting rid of it at 300K makes sense.......entire exhaust,alternator,rack,transmission,injectors,most everything is original and waiting to drop dead at any given moment- I would love to walk away from it before it implodes all-together, as so far my ownership experience has been wonderful and trouble-free.I do think that by 1996, they worked out most of the bugs that plagued the earlier models- same with most other designs- they get slightly better each year as they learn the trouble spots.....then they change the model and the process starts over- just look at the 2002Q compared to the 2006Q- many small almost un noticable tweeks along the way
